Whats a 299-8A horn?

Would the 299-8a horn sound better than my 511b for home stereo? I was thinking of swapping . thanks greg.

The 299-8A isn't a horn, it's a large format driver. Better than a 1" driver? Many think so, but most express a preference for the 288 series.
